Rowing Launches
The Low Profile or Rowing Jetfloat was specifically developed by Jetfloat Ltd. for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. The invention and development of the low profile unit provided a safe and reliable system for rowers to launch from as well as extended walkways for the public to use to view events. The city of Los Angeles required a non-polluting system as the events were held in the drinking water reservoir for the city. Not only did Jetfloat satisfy this requirement, but the Olympic committee received an almost full return on their investment by selling the units to various rowing clubs and schools after the Games had ended. Today many of those original Olympic units are still in use.
Jetfloat Ltd. has been a proud supplier to the rowing community ever since. Our commitment to quality and product development will ensure that we remain a viable option for future requirements no matter where they are needed.
